Built around Q's Mini Shotgun Microphone, the Q Sniper Kit includes all the accessories needed for lightweight on-camera mini shotgun style audio capture for DSLR cameras and video camcorders as well as for location sound booming, ENG, and audio for video production applications.

Description:

We started with all the pieces from our Q DSLR-Video kit, and then added the Q Mini Boom Pole and Boom Pole Base unit which attaches directly to the Mini Boom Pole or Mini Shockmount via standard tripod 1/4" 20 threading for boom counterbalancing, mic stand, or desktop stand uses. The Q Mini Boom Pole is made out of telescoping stainless steel outfitted with a ribbed rubber comfort grip allowing for extremely lightweight and travel friendly location booming. Fully collapsed it measures just less than 13.5" (>34 cm) and fully extended length is just under 57.5" (4′ 9.5" or >1.5 meters) without any attachments. The Q Compact Connection System (QCCS)
Although the microphone is extremely small and unobtrusive, the rejection properties are comparable to standard wide body shotgun microphones. The microphone is self-powered using two (2) AG4 1.5V batteries (included) but can also be phantom powered (balanced/low-impedance) using the optional QAD3 XLR adapter (batteries remain in mic for parallel operation).
